Certainly one of the finest movies ever made. One of the perfect ways to portray Delhi. One of the most talented actors. result is ofcourse Oye lucky Lucky oye. He is one of the best deols for sure. can’t agree more

You missed the best of them all Lord the Rings. And the Da Vinci Code movie wasn’t all that great.
Slumdog may not appeal to Indian sensibilities, with all of us unanimously proclaiming ourselves world power. Even Amitabh has criticized it saying ” Indian isn’t all slums and Dogs”.
But whatever is showed of India in that movie is true and does not downgrade India in any manner. Like the scene where the bros. revisit the place where their slum once stood to find skyscrapers.

Good work. but i’ll tell you something… you’re right in expecting the movie to be below your expectations, precisely coz your expectations are sky high right now. sure, give it the respect it deserves, but you’ll probably feel a sense of anti-climax at the end. the movie’s good. and even after watching it, you’ll wonder why anil kapoor?! probably has something to do with his looks.

and honestly speaking, i’ve heard people deride the movie with arguments such as “oh, its just an ordinary movie, nothing special” and “the West will only see of India what it wants to see”. both statements being true, the movie’s still good.

and as you can make out from my thesis statement, i saw a downloaded version of the movie.

BUT…even thuogh the idea isn’t original, the song n dance sequences are. I haven’t seen the tamil ghajini, but memento sure as hell didn’t look like it could support runnnig around trees, or scuffing about in deserts. the tragedy of it all……….
